Aid and adapt

Grab rails, downstairs WC, level access shower or kitchen adaptations – just some of the aids that can make your home work better for you

Major and minor changes

Freedom and access in your home can be enhanced through simple adaptations. Both minor and major changes can improve a range of outcomes in later life, according to the charity Centre for Ageing Better.

We have all seen a rising demand for home adaptations as people live for longer – and increasing numbers of people live with multiple long-term health conditions or experience reductions in mobility.

From assessment to funding

We can help with everything from assessment to funding, if there are financial difficulties. As a responsible landlord, MMHS is committed to assisting residents to obtain aids and adaptations, where they are required.

Recommendations for aids and adaptations are normally generated by a Social Services occupational therapist’s assessment of the resident’s or spouse’s needs.
