Your legacy shapes lives

Gratitude wells up within us for generous souls who use their will to help MMHS. Their legacies enable us to house retired ministers.

'It’s absolutely wonderful that there are people who are still willing to give their houses'

What a difference your will can make

‘Even though we don’t own the house, it feels like ours,’ is how one of our householders, Mannie, described his experience. ‘It’s very well maintained by MMHS. We still look at each other and say, “Isn’t this lovely?”.’

Providing homes for ministers like Mannie is possible because of the heartfelt generosity of our friends and supporters. Whatever donation we receive assists us in many ways – housing a retired minister, providing a home for a bereaved partner and children, carrying out repairs, adapting a property – the list of tangible outcomes is long.

A simple change can make a big impact

A simple change to your will could make all the difference to our ministers in need. Every gift we receive – large or small – helps us continue our work.

Over the years, many kind people have left their house, flat or bungalow to the Society, helping us to house more ministers in need. Today these bequests are more important than ever.

Your provision can bring peace of mind

Another of our residents, Joy, said, ‘I don’t know what we would’ve done if there wasn’t the Housing Society. We wouldn’t have been able to afford a house. So it’s meant home and security’.

We appreciate everyone who considers supporting us. And we realise this is a complex area where expert tax and/or legal advice may be necessary. So we recommend using a solicitor to help you make or change your will.

Thank you for thinking of us!
