BEST OF ROOF ‘N’ ROOTS VOL 2

Our journey is complete. We finished our 75th anniversary celebrations with a second volume of The Best Of Roof ‘n’ Roots.

A limited print edition was distributed at the 2024 Methodist Conference, and the PDF has since been made available to download.

Scores of delegates were interested to see this latest compilation of residents’ stories. As usual, some Conference folk spotted old friends in the publication. We featured such people as:

• Revd Bob Davies – who created a chronicle of the pandemic;
• Revd Trevor Haigh – who was part of the 50s skiffle movement;
• Gwenda Watson – brought up on a remote island without running water, gas or electricity;
• Iris Chapple – who celebrated 40 years of raising Guide Dogs;
• Revd Alan Taylor – who became 75 in our 75th year.
