BEST OF ROOF ‘N’ ROOTS VOL 1

Last Updated: July 5, 2022 This post was written by Clive Price

After nearly three years of lockdowns, postponements and virtual events, the Methodist Conference returned to being a real happening – and we were there! We sent a team to run an exhibition stand and share stories of our work. Our display featured a special ‘Best of…’ edition of Roof ‘n’ Roots – and the publication went down very well indeed. As well as marking our return to in-person events, the newsletter launched the journey to our 75th anniversary, which takes place in 2023.

Conference folk were delighted to see Kathleen Richardson on our cover. We were thrilled, too! Along with Kathleen’s story are such people as:

  • Eric Blennerhassett – who made the media his parish;
  • Pat Billsborrow – who dared to cross the line;
  • Neville Pugh – our very own ‘Time Lord’;
  • Joy Murphy – helping children out of poverty;
  • Barrie Tabraham – who found home in a semi-rural idyll.
