Scores of attendees visited the spectacular new MMHS stand at the 2024 Methodist Conference, held at Royal Armouries in Leeds Dock this summer.
‘Your future home could be with us at MMHS,’ said the stand’s slogan. ‘We’ve housed retiring ministers for more than 75 years. Let’s start a conversation.’ Of course, people took us up on it – and stopped for some chat and cheer.
Visitors to the MMHS display included residents, friends and relatives of residents, delegates who simply wanted to say how much they appreciated the work of MMHS – and others wanting to find out more about us.
Many enquirers received free copies of Roof ‘n’ Roots
Many enquirers helped themselves to free copies of a special Conference edition of the MMHS newsletter Roof ‘n’ Roots, which carries some of the residents’ stories featured over recent years.
People had only good reports about MMHS. They were grateful that either they – or people they knew – had found a home with MMHS and were happy with the service.
MMHS gave cards to the nearly 30 ordinands at this year’s Conference, congratulating them on the start of their new ministry. (Photos by Clive Price show just some of the visitors to the MMHS stand – and the stunning backdrop of Leeds Dock)
